Stab and Grab Part 2

Today was a good day and the end of "Stab and Grab" week, and the start of one of my favorites, "Dangle and Mangle" (clinches, elbows, chokes). I think the thing that really got me was that everybody started finding what works for them. This is a good thing.

Today, for those who attended we were facing off in 5 square foot areas, 1 attacker, 1 defender, 2 minute rounds (honest guys, they were), we covered a lot on knife blocking and attacking off the block, which is what we are here for, to move aggressively off the block. Some guys wrapped some went to back locks of a kind, the body perpendicular to the opponents body. (did I use perpendicular in a sentense ???).

Some folks noticed that a lot of this is based on the 360 degree defense, yes it is. This is one of our underlying concepts. We should always think about the principles that underly what we do, the 360 degree defense and Retzev, constant moving, or should I say continuous attacking until the opponent drops.
